OKS - leader of labor safety in Kuzbass

The formation of Kuzbass as a center of decent work is fixed in the Strategy of socio-economic development of the Kemerovo region – Kuzbass for the period up to 2035. One of the most important characteristics of decent work is its safety and harmlessness for the employee.

The initiator of the creation of a rating of enterprises in the region that have achieved high results in the field of occupational safety and health at work was the Governor of Kuzbass Sergey Tsivilev when signing an agreement with the Ministry of Labor of Russia on the implementation of a pilot project in the field of occupational risk management.

The rating was formed by the Regional Ministry of Labor and Employment with the participation of sectoral ministries: industry, coal industry, construction, transport, housing and communal services and road complex, as well as the Department of Electric Power.

The regional rating of enterprises "Leaders of safe labor of Kuzbass" is formed on the basis of openness and publicity, is public in nature; it is a tool for evaluating the activities to ensure occupational safety at Kuzbass enterprises in order to increase interest in creating effective occupational safety and health management systems and implementing the principles of zero injury.

The criteria for including enterprises in the rating is absence for two years:
- violations of state regulatory requirements for labor protection, industrial sanitation and rules of safe work (industrial safety);
- accidents at work and occupational diseases;
- violations in the payment of wages;
- current court decisions on the introduction of bankruptcy proceedings.
